RUMOUR | Sale Sharks set to complete triple signing

Sale Sharks boss Steve Diamond has revealed they are set to complete a triple signing ahead of the 2020/21 Gallagher Premiership season.

According to rugby transfer guru Neil Fissler from The Rugby Paper, World Cup-winning tighthead Vincent Koch will be the first to arrive at the AJ Bell Stadium, joining from Saracens.

The Springbok, who is best friends with Sale playmaker Faf de Klerk, favoured reuniting with some of his old teammates in the North West rather than returning to his native South Africa.

Exeter Chiefs centre Sam Hill is expected to be the second through the door with Richard Wigglesworth as a player-coach possibly being the third.

EDITORS PICKS:

Wigglesworth has appeared over 200 times for Saracens and in 2018/19 broke former captain Steve Borthwick’s record as the all-time Premiership appearance holder.

Internationally, the Lancastrian scrum-half has appeared in two World Cups with England and has 31 caps.

He also currently works as a coach for Championship side Ealing
