Kenny Logan, the former Scottish rugby star, and his wife Gabby, a TV presenter, will receive a substantial six-figure sum in damages as a result of their legal action against an accountant, a publisher, and a former newspaper editor.
This action was taken in response to baseless accusations that the couple had been paid to endorse a tax avoidance scheme to their celebrity acquaintances.
The settlement has been reached in a case involving the 51-year-old Kenny and 50-year-old Gabby, with the defendants being Gwilym Jones, the director of a litigation investment company, Associated Newspapers, and Kelvin Mackenzie, a former editor of The Sun newspaper.
During a recent hearing at the High Court in London, it was revealed that the couple’s grievances were primarily centered around a Mail Online article published on February 28.
This article, hosted on a website owned by Associated Newspapers, contained unfounded claims that had caused harm to the Logans’ reputation.

Earlier this year, Reuben Logan made his way to Northampton Saints from Midlands Central (formerly Wasps) Academy, where he had been a part of the Wasps team throughout his junior career.
Reuben, whose father is the former Scotland international wing Kenny Logan, and mother, Gabby, a former international gymnast and broadcaster, attended Shiplake College before transferring to Berkhamsted School. Recently, he earned a spot in the England Under-18s squad for the 2023 season.
Ahead of joining the team on a full-time basis from July 1, Saints commented on the young athlete: “He’s got some things to learn around his transition to the back row, but the skills he’s picked up playing previously in the centres and on the wing for his school and Academy sides will be great assets for him to have.”
Reflecting on his upbringing, Reuben credited his parents for their approach to technology usage. They allowed him to have a phone only when he was older and restricted access to certain apps until he turned 12 going on 13.
