The Leicester forward has been excluded from England’s Six Nations finale against Ireland in Dublin due to an ankle injury he sustained during training.
As a result, his teammate George Martin has been added to the squad.
The 30-man squad still includes seasoned players George Ford and Manu Tuilagi, who are in contention to make their comebacks.
The match against Grand Slam-chasing Ireland will take place at the Aviva Stadium at 17:00 GMT on Saturday.
