“That’s just broken me” – Johnny Sexton’s son goes viral for touching comment to Dad

Johnny Sexton appeared utterly devastated as Ireland’s World Cup dreams were once again shattered by New Zealand for the second consecutive tournament in a row.

The All Blacks deservedly triumphed over their rivals in Paris, setting the stage for a semi-final showdown against Argentina.

The loss also marked the end of Ireland captain Sexton’s career, leaving him in a state of dejection as the agony of one last knockout defeat took hold.

Joined by his son on the pitch, the young lad could be seen telling Sexton: “You’re still the best Dad.”

In reaction, one fan wrote: “His Dad is an absolute legend. Country owes him and the team some thanks. We are blessed they care so much to be the best and for bringing us along for the ride.”

A second commented: “Ah Jesus that’s just broken me….”

#3. Owen Farrell (England)

Nigel Owens said: “I can only speak from my own experience of refereeing him and, when I did, he was an excellent captain to deal with.

“I have a huge amount of respect for him as a player and a person. He always knew where the line was with me.

“I would say to him that he could always come and talk to me as long as it was at the right time and in the right tone and he always did that.”
