England captain Owen Farrell ran extended his hand following Callums Sheedy’s laye conversion before returning to position for the final moments of the game.

BBC Wales broadcaster Phil Steele highlighted the gesture, saying: “Hi Owen Farrell, I’m a proud Welshman who’s been involved in our great game as fan, player, teacher, coach and broadcaster for over 50 yrs and I just wanted to say how lovely it was to see you congratulate Callum Sheedy after his final conversion.

“The spirit of rugby personified.”
