All Blacks great Ma’a Nonu is heading to the United States for the next stage of his rugby career.
The 103-test international has signed with the San Diego Legion for the 2020 Major League Rugby (MLR) season.

Nonu, who played for the Blues in 2019, said he’s excited for his career journey.
“I’m really grateful to be joining the San Diego Legion and to play in the MLR for the 2020 season,” said Nonu.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge of the new season ahead with the team. My family and I are excited about the move to San Diego.”
