Leicester Tigers reportedly want Steve Mafi to return to Welford Road when he contact with French side Castres runs out at the end of the season.
The Rugby Paper has reported the Tongan lock, who spent four seasons with the Tigers between 2010 and 2014, left Welford Road for Western Force before making his move to France.
Mafi is believed to be keen to make a return to the Premiership with the Midlands his preferred destination.
Pat Lam is also interested in recruiting the powerhouse lock ahead of Bristol’s imminent return to the Aviva Premiership.
