Former Bath and England fullback Nick Abendanon could be set for a return to the Gallagher Premiership after revealing he won’t be staying at Clermont.
The 33-year-old full back, who returned to the Rec with Clermont on Friday night in the European Champions Cup, said he is in search of a new club in an interview with French regional paper La Montange.
Abendanon, who is in his sixth season with Clermont and is still one of the most dangerous attacking backs in European rugby, “I have an optional year for next season, but the club told me they will not activate it.
“I do not want to stop. I feel like I can still do a year or two.
“If a club is looking for an experienced back, they can call me.
