Wales have revealed a new home kit that will be in place until the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
The classic red jersey is ‘inspired by the Welsh national anthem’ with Under Armour’s latest instalment featuring subtle stitching on the shoulders that maps out various places around the country.
‘No two shirts will be the same,’ says the WRU with the topography of places such as Neath, Lampeter, Bangor and Cardiff detailed onto the jersey in way that is bespoke to each new garment.
It includes all the technical elements too, with Under Armour packing it with ‘ArmourGrip’ to ‘support ball retention’ and ‘HeatGear’ to ensure the players remain comfortable.
An authentic edition of what the players wear – carrying exact specifications of the playing kit – will cost you £90.
Replica jerseys will retail at £65.
