Ben Youngs breaks silence after gruesome knee injury

Ben Youngs has sent fans a message of thanks after suffering a knee injury during England’s 46-15 win over Italy on Sunday.

“Thanks everyone for your kind messages of support with great people around me I’ll be back to contribute soon enough,” Youngs wrote on Twitter this morning.

Danny Care replaced him from the bench on Sunday and is expected to start at scrum-half when England take on Wales at Twickenham this weekend (Saturday, 4.45pm).

England coach Eddie Jones has called up Saracens No 9 Richard Wigglesworth as Youngs’ replacement in the squad.
