England winger Marland Yarde has reportedly turned down a chance to move to France and has instead signed a deal to join Sale Sharks.
BT Sport and Harlequins Ugo Monye revealed: “I’ve heard he’s signed for the Sale Sharks.
“Just to be clear on this he will be playing for Sale Sharks next season. But I think he might be available for selection for Sale in the next couple of weeks.
“This could be one of the first times we’ve seen this in rugby, especially in recent years and a midway season transfer.
“Clearly things aren’t great at Harlequins for him at the moment. Hopefully he’ll find some of his form up at Sale.”

When asked about the rumours, Sale’s director of rugby Steve Diamond added: “There’s lots of rumours around all clubs when players like him become available.
“Everybody would have a look at him but no as far as I know we’ve not spoke to anybody.
“And we are just concentrating on Exeter.
“Young 25-year-old England players are people who we like to have look at.”
