Michael Fatialofa’s wife has revealed on Instagram that the Worcester Warriors player is “beginning to make progress”.
The 27-year-old,who remains in a serious condition over a week after suffering a neck injury has been treated at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, in London, for nine days since being carried off in Warriors’ 62-5 loss at Saracens.
Tatiana has kept up her bedside vigil and also maintained he heartfelt social media updates on the progress of the hugely popular lock.
She says her faith is helping her along with the support shown by friends and fans.
“I trust wholeheartedly God will restore everything that’s been stolen and broken. I’m also coming to terms that it won’t be in the timeframe we want aka immediately.
“It’s still very surreal and will take time to sink in, but I just want to publicly thank every single one of you inspiring humans who have reached out in prayer, kindness, practical generosity and just gone out of your way to show us love and solidarity.
“I’m in awe of the power in community, I’ve never seen anything like this where people from every tribe and faith are rallying around us in genuine support. We feel it, we are honoured and we say the deepest thank you.
“Love is the only force that’ll see us through these treacherous waters.”
