Premiership club owner hits out at Eddie Jones after latest injury spree

Bath owner Bruce Craig has hit out at England after Beno Obano became the latest of his players to be seriously injured in an international training camp in the past two years.

In recent times, the Black, Blue and Whites have lost Sam Underhill, Anthony Watson and Tom Ellis to serious injuries.

He told The Times: “The level of injuries in these training camps is totally unacceptable. What is going on in the camp?

“There is obviously an issue because of the number of injuries. There has got to be significant questions asked about duty of care.

“At Bath, we’re not having cruciate ligament injuries in training. I am unsure of whether the players are not being taken to levels that are unacceptable.”

Obano is only the latest player to suffer a serious injury after young Wasps flanker Jack Willis also suffered an ACL last weekend.
