Sale Sharks on the move

Sale Sharks are on the move this week as they prepare for the 2017/18 Aviva Premiership season.

The first team squad fly from Manchester to France this morning to prepare for their first pre-season game against Castres on Saturday.

Joining up with the squad at their training base will be South African scrum-half Faf de Klerk who played for the Lions last Saturday in their Super Rugby Final against Crusaders

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said, “The lads have been training hard over the past few weeks and they are now ready for some quality game time,

“Castres are a good side and the game will give the coaches the opportunity to see the lads in action,

“After the match, we travel back on Sunday and prepare for our second warm up game against Edinburgh a week on Friday.”

The players travelling are: Will Addison, Halani Aulika, Josh Beaumont, Josh Charnley, Will Cliff, Ben Curry, Tom Curry, Faf de Klerk, Bryn Evans, James Flynn, Mike Haley, Ross Harrison, TJ Ioane, Luke James, Sam James, Mark Jennings, Will-Griff John, Marc Jones, Jonny Leota, AJ MacGinty, Byron McGuigan, Cameron Neild, George Nott, James O’Connor, Andre Ostrikov, Laurence Pearce, Jake Pope, Jono Ross, David Seymour, Denny Solomona, Josh Strauss, Alex Tarus and Rob Webber.

The U18’s travel to Limerick where they will play Munster Academy (Wednesday) and then travel to Dublin to play against Leinster Academy (Saturday).
