Ospreys are keen to offer George North an early escape from his Northampton by offering him an immediate move, reports Wales Online.
The region are also understood to be interested in securing the wing’s services on a more permanent basis.
The development should at least give North something to ponder after a troubling few days for the 25-year-old which saw Northampton boss Alan Gaffney suggest the Wales international didn’t want to play in the Aviva Premiership clash with Sale last weekend.
His declaration left North less than impressed and believing he had been turned into the chief scapegoat for the English club’s 34-25 defeat at Franklin’s Gardens.
North is contracted to Northampton until the end of the season when he will return to Wales on a national dual contract.
