#4. Ignacio Brex (Italy vs Scotland) – Stops the game
Referee Luke Pearce has been universally praised for ordering a player off the field for an HIA following a nasty looking head knock in the game between Italy and Scotland.
The English referee stopped the game and told Italian centre Ignacio Brex to take the knee to be attended to by medics before he was withdrawn from the game for an HIA.
Considering the criticism referee’s have had in recent weeks for their handling of head injuries, this was an exemplary piece of officiating.
RUCK’s verdict: Brilliant officiating
