Wales legend Shane Williams has heaped praise onto winger Steff Evans after his international debut against the Wallabies on Saturday.
The winger made a try-scoring debut despite the men in red eventually going down 29-21 to Australia at the Principality Stadium.
“I think Steff Evans is a breath of fresh air in this Welsh team.” wrote Williams on Twitter.
I think @steffevs09 is a breath of fresh air in this Welsh team. He works hard off the ball, he’s gutsy and isn’t afraid to try things! Always going to be a danger in attack! He’s going to get better with every game 👍🏽

“He works hard off the ball, he’s gutsy and isn’t afraid to try things!
“Always going to be a danger in attack! He’s going to get better with every game”
This view nevertheless wasn’t shared by all with Wales Online giving the wide man a shocking 5/10
“Not the first to find the wind blows strongest at the top of the mountain.” wrote Mark Orders.
“Did well to force his way over for a try in the corner, but cost his side with a hideous kick out of defence that led to Michael Hooper’s touchdown and was then relieved of possession by Kurtley Beale as the full-back raced clear.”
